| 0:00.0 | It's Wednesday, February 7, 2024. |
| 0:07.8 | I'm Albert Moeller and this is the briefing, a daily analysis of news and events from a Christian |
| 0:12.4 | worldview. |
| 0:13.9 | In Washington, D.C. and across the nation a good deal of the public conversation has to do with |
| 0:19.1 | what's been called a Senate border deal. |
| 0:21.7 | But it's a deal that might well not get through the |
| 0:24.1 | United States Senate much less get to the House of Representatives. The Speaker of the |

| 1:18.0 | and then the independent, and that Senator Kristen Cinema of Arizona and the Democrat Senator Chris Murphy of |
| 1:24.2 | Connecticut they had a major task and as you look at the legislation as |
| 1:28.2 | proposed this is something that would have been completely unexpected even just a year ago. |
| 1:35.2 | But Americans are becoming more and more aware of the fact that as a nation we have lost |
| 1:38.9 | control of the border with thousands of people coming across every day |
| 1:43.0 | and with over a million expected to come into the United States |
