Coming up, the federal government has revoked visas for a number of students and post

grads at Seattle University and the University of Washington. And now, supporters

of Gaza, especially those who've gone to protests, wonder if they'll be targeted. But first,

here's our roundup of today's top stories. It's Wednesday, April 9th. Starting with a much

noisier day than usual at the Washington State Capitol, state workers protested the governor's approach to the state budget.

Jeannie Lindsay was there.

Protesters at the Capitol typically stay outside or under the rotunda, but more than a hundred state workers rallied directly outside of Governor Bob Ferguson's office,

banging on the closed door and urging him to come out. Their message?

No cuts, no furloughs, tax, max the rich. The workers want the state to adopt a wealth tax

to close a gap in the budget and avoid proposed cuts to services.

But Ferguson has proposed furloughs for state workers to help save the state money and

recently said he will not sign a budget that relies on a wealth tax.

Democratic lawmakers announced Wednesday they likely won't include a wealth tax as part of

their final budget deal.

More details are expected next week.
