We're in Psalm 34. Took way too long yesterday, just giving you some context, some historical

background. But I think we know where we are and we'll be able to jump right in today. So Psalm 34

and verse number three, as David is really

testifying, God, you bailed me out. I was in a really dangerous situation, and that situation

was the situation of my choosing. David shouldn't have gone to Abimelech. And I'll just say this, he made that same

mistake later on in his running from Saul, went back to that same king. And how often does that

happen in our lives? And yet David has been delivered, and he realizes my deliverance is really not a matter of my smarts.

It's really not a matter of my strength.

It's not even a matter of what I deserve.

It's a matter of God did this.

I'm going to bless him with my mouth from my soul.

It's going to be sincere.

And then he says this in verse number three,

O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together. So David wasn't content just to

give his testimony. He wasn't content just to sing his song to those that had gathered
