Hello, and welcome back to Morning Announcements.

You know who I am by now, let's get into it.

First up, SCOTUS ruled yesterday that the Biden administration must reinstate President

Trump's remain in Mexico policy, which requires, get this, that migrants remain in Mexico

while officials file their claims.

The court's conservative majority ruled that the Biden administration's termination

of the program was arbitrary and capricious, while the liberals would have allowed the

program to remain suspended.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go sit in a corner and get sad about RBG again.

And next up, after a bit of a kerfluffle on Monday night, the House finally approved

a framework for the $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill that would solidify much of the Biden

agenda.

This comes after a group of 10 moderates had blocked a vote on the bill, saying they wanted

the House to take up the $1 trillion bipartisan bill that had recently passed in the Senate.

In the end, the new budget framework passed with a rule directing the House to take up the

bipartisan bill by no later than September 27th.

Everybody wins, and now it goes to the Senate, where I'm sure it will encounter no problems.
