Hey, 33 on a Wednesday. It is Dave and Chuck the Freak here on 101WRIF coming up more rift news on the way.

The details on those stories and more on the way in just a second. It wasn't loud noise or an argument that led to a peace disturbance call at Hannibal City Hall in Hannibal, Missouri.

It was a person's unpleasant odor. Several city hall workers called the cops yesterday to complain that a person who came into the building smelled so bad they wanted him removed.

The Northeast Missouri Towns municipal code actually allows people to be cited for peace disturbance because of a noxious and defensive odor.

I'm totally behind this. Yes. For sure.

The man agreed to leave the building a short time later workers at a neighboring business called police that the same person had gone there with the smell following him as well.

Oh my God. He left that building too when the cops showed up. No arrests were made. I mean, it's never going to happen in Detroit unfortunately.

They won't respond if someone gets shot half the time. But yeah, if you could call the cops because someone stunk.

I smell something offensive.

Get here immediately. It's an emergency like the stink police. They come in. Yeah, they get it. You're causing it's you're disturbing the peace. It would make it so awesome because I think a lot of people who stink.

People just can't get up the courage to walk up to them and tell them that they stink. It'd be so much easier to call like the stink patrol.

And then they come up and cite the guy for it. You can't do that here, right? I mean, I've never heard of that being as part of a code of any town around here that you could call and complain of someone's noxious and offensive odor.

It's on the books in Hannibal, Missouri. Legally, you can call the cops and say. They stink so bad they're disturbing the peace. How do we get it on the book, Steve? How do we get this for office? And that's part of your campaign platform. No more stinky people.

I think a lot of people want to smell though. You see like hippies hippies. Do you think hippies want to stand the odor? Yeah, no, I know that.

But do they want to stink or they don't realize they stink? I feel like they realize they just don't care.

That's not good. Do you remember the worst body odor you've ever smelled in your life? Because mine sticks with me and it was so long ago, but I'll never forget it.
