Hey, friends, welcome back to today's episode of Everyday Truths.

We are still in First Kings 13, and I've got to tell you, I am so excited about sharing this passage with you today.

It is so interesting.

It's not to say that all the Bible is not interesting.

We know that to be true, of course.

But there are certain passages in the Bible that just are so riveting.

And this is one of them.

It's strange.

It's intriguing.

It is so insightful.

And there are some great principles for you and me to consider from the passage.

So let me bring you up to speed.

Here is this man of God whom God has very specifically sent from Judah to go to Bethel,

which is now in the Northern Kingdom, where Jeroboam has

erected this golden calf, this altar, and cry against this altar and tell everyone that

will hear that God is going to judge this compromise and this false religion.

One day, there will come a king named Josiah,

and he will burn this altar and the bones of the priests that have offered upon it.
