Jimi Garapolos says he's excited to compete with rookie Trey Lance,

San Francisco treading up to draft Lance third overall,

and Garoppola, while appearing on a pair of radio interviews,

praise the communication between Heath and general manager John Lynch ahead of the draft.

Jimmy says he's embracing the situation.

I know it's going to be some competition between us like it was with me and Tom

when I got drafted in New England.

But at the end of the day, all you could ask for is the opportunity.

So once they said you'll have the opportunity to start this year and you know fight it out, I was all for it.

I'm ready for the competition and that's what we're here for.

I try to use my own personal experiences and just what I went through, what, you know, what helped me, what challenged me as a young player. And so, you know, I'm going to try to use those tools that help me and, you know, try to help Tre out. You know, it's hard to come into this league. I know how it was coming from FCS school to the NFL. It's a bit of an adjustment, the speed, whatever you want to call it.

It's just different. So whatever I can do to help them, I'll be more than happy.

So Jimmy G sounds like he wants to stay with the Niners, but can we say the same for Aaron Rogers and Packers?

Well, according to NFL Network and Saturday, Ian Rapidport, the reigning NFL MVP, wants a new contract with the PAC, but is also seemingly unhappy with the team's front office.

While appearing on WFAN Radio in New York, four-time Super Bowl champion Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw believes this reported disagreement between the two sides reflects poorly on Rogers.
