world get vaccinated, discussions in those nations have turned a bit tense as people disagree on how

safe we now are. And I don't want to wade into that debate too much, except to offer one perspective I saw

recently, which is that apart from the reality of immunocompromised people and folks living with

kids or other people who can't get the vaccine yet, some people who are still maintaining

various preventative measures may be doing so less out of logical concern or some kind of political pandemic theater,

and more so out of a need for an adjustment period.
