And what we're looking at is Chang E e six that is an alander for the moon the far side and within this weekend Bob what are we

watching for on chang e six they've done this before. Is there anything new here?

This is the new thing is that this is a sample return mission. This is the second

sample return mission to the moon that China has launched. The first one, Chinese 5 landed on the near

side of the moon and brought back samples. Changi 6 is going to the far side of the

moon and that is what's different. No one's ever brought samples back from the far side of the moon.

And in fact the only one is ever landed on the far side of the moon is China. They're YouTube

rover and Changi 4. I think well anyway it landed on the far side of the moon has been

roving around there for about what is it now for 40 years so there and so the news

here is that Changi6 has been in lunar orbit now for about a month,

changing that orbit, getting into position for releasing its lander and ascender.

The two will go down to the surface

on the far side of the moon.

They're landing on the edge

of a very large crater called Apollo crater.

It's somewhat vague crater, because it's large and it seems to be very. a lot
