Last week you had a opening monologue that really touched me and I had a question about it. So it was about somebody had written a different Dr. Laura and should their 12 year old or 11 year old listen to your program about checking out insects and whatnot.

I've been listening for about a year and I have a 12 year old. My wife and I married 16 years. We have 12 year old and then almost one year old.

And it's getting to the point to have certain conversations with my 12 year old. She has not been interested in boys or anything like that before now.

But we did not listen to like that only been a year. We did not follow the what would have been a traditional route. We got engaged and I guess we did check up after we got engaged.

We tried to treat treat it like marriage, although that's not what it was, but we did behave in that matter and we committed to each other, etc.

But if we are the extent that you had committed to each other, etc. Why did you get married?

We we were acting in that way. We wanted to be married. We wanted to live our life together and grow together. That's what we wanted.

We just happened to decide to live together in advance and I didn't listen to you at the time. So I might have done things differently.

And it sounds like you and your wife ended up with a quality relationship. So let me ask you on what grounds would you suggest to your daughter and other young girls that this is not a good idea.

I mean, it worked fine for you. So what would be your argument against it?

Well, it wouldn't. That's why I was calling because I don't treat sir. I need you to stop.

I'm trying to get you to think about what you learned in your whole lifetime up to this point.

So what I want from you is tell me what possibly in your philosophy or experience would suggest against shacking up.

Think. Take your time. What would be your argument based on everything you've learned in your 40 something years?

I would go I think that it's more often than not that people I've met were not would not behave the way I did.

They were not necessarily raised that way or they would not treat the situation the way that I did my wife and I did.

Well, you see that's perfect because there are exceptions people who survived doing some people survive gunshots to the head and lead good lives.
