Today's teaching text is coming out of Exodus chapter 17, starting in 8 then amelik came and fought with israel at

rehaban so moses said to joshua choose for us men and go out and fight with amelicac

tomorrow i will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand. So Joshua did,

as Moses told him, and fought with Melik. While Moses, Aaron and Her, went up to the top of the hill.

Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed. And then whenever he lowered his hand,

Amalek prevailed. but Moses's hand grew weary

so he took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it while Aaron and her held up his

hands one on one side and the other on the other side so So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

And Joshua overwhelmed at Millick and his people with a sword.

Then the Lord said to Moses, write this as a memorial in a book and

recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory

of mellick from under heaven and Moses built an altar and called the name of it the Lord is my banner

saying a hand of the Lord upon the throne of the Lord will have war with Amelik from generation to generation this is the word of the Lord. The Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

This is the war of the Lord.

Well, good morning, church.

It is great to be with you.

And the truth is

that we've been with you every Sunday for the last two years.

And without fail, we have been overwhelmed by the tangible presence of the Lord in our gatherings and the ministry of

worship and word has been refreshing to our souls. And so allow me this morning to thank all of you for the ways that you allow the Lord

to use you, week in and week out. And of course, our gratitude extends to Pastor John and

Christy for their care and friendship.
