So from the time, like from your first, I guess your third marriage when that started, had you been training, grappling,

et cetera, like during your operational years at the command other than or outside of any

of the SEAL combative stuff, or did you start it after that?

I dabbled in it a little bit, but never like seriously to say that I was anywhere good at anything.

I really didn't deep dive into it until I became the chief of combatus.

So I guess the burning question is how do you get put into that position?

Yeah, I would like to say that, you know, I was hand-selected like everybody likes to say.

They wanted me.

I'd actually, when I was leaving the team, I was, you know, I was a chief.

And the chief detailer, you know, you fill out your form just like you do as an E6 and everything else.

And I had put in to go to Buds and to SQT.
