The entire First Marine Corps Division, you know, thousands of people are on Route 1, and we start to get the command to offload all of our tracks to go forth and press into this town.

It turns out that we got like RPK fire from a window and within 10 seconds before even anybody gets out of the tracks, I like stand up on the fan tail of the track at the very end and put a rocket right through this window and flew the whole building apart and then the whole

battlefield just quieted. Nobody shot or out again. Would you say that that shot of that rocket

is the most impactful or kind of biggest shot that you made in that deployment?

Actually, the best shot's the one I didn't take.

Two nights after my brother got blown up in my arms,

there was a side quest thing called the Kufa Technical College.

15 of the top 20 most wanted terrorists in like Iraq were in that building.

We took, I think, just a couple of casualties

and killed thousands of bad guys. Across my entire 21 years of service, the most impressive single

engagement was that. In an engagement like that, how many Marines typically are in the fight

with the unit that you were with.
