It's like the new Beetlejuice film, that hearing Esther McVe's voice,

popping up in the news bulletin. You'd have hoped that she might have been enjoying a well-deserved period of obscurity,

having hung onto her seat, but I've been part of a party that was obliterated at the polls,

but no, not only making comparisons of an actual Holocaust to a mooted ban on smoking in beer gardens,

but apparently completely unaware that she campaigned at the last general election on a manifesto that contained a promise to

outlaw smoking completely within our life. I mean, like everywhere, forever, within our own

lifetimes. But I suppose being overburdened by intelligence is not something that has ever

troubled her unduly. She doesn't even know what an analogy is.
