Kristen knows it's the Bert Show's entertainment bus.

Bill Cosby was released from prison after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned his

conviction.

The court ruled that Bill Cosby was denied protection against self-incrimination.

He basically got released on a technicality.

And I tried to dive into what exactly happened and I read multiple articles.

And over a decade ago, a prosecutor decided not to charge Cosby in the Andrea Constantin

case, but there was a lawsuit.

And then that lawsuit, Bill Cosby gave testimony.

In a civil suit, not the criminal suit, right?

Correct.

And so he gave testimony that was key in his conviction years later by a different prosecutor.

But that testimony was not allowed to be used because they had a verbal agreement that

he was not going to get prosecuted by that previous prosecutor.

Bottom line, it was a technicality and that's why his conviction got overturned.

I think there was a second tier too, it also, like a judge was saying that the five women

that took the stand saying that their situation sounded certainly very familiar to the case

that he was currently being prosecuted for and the judge said shouldn't have been able

to do that.
