Summary

In this message Pastor Dino Rizzo brings a heartfelt, hilarious, and powerful word titled "We're Not Done Yet." Reflecting on Luke 14, Pastor Dino reminds us of the mission of the church: to go after the lost, the hurting, and the forgotten again and again. He unpacks Jesus' parable of the great banquet, exposing the excuses that keep us from the table and calling us to keep our hands on the door, always making space for someone else. This message is a celebration of the legacy of Zoe Church and a charge to keep reaching, serving, and building the Kingdom. At Zoe, our mission is simple: People Saved, Disciples Made, Leaders Raised, and The Church Released. Through every service, we seek to share the love and hope of Jesus, impact lives, and see transformation in communities in Los Angeles and around the world. from Pastor Dino Rizzo. You know, I'm, I turned 61 this year. I love being 61. I went by 50 like it was nothing, he slapped it in the face. Get out. I got the sixth down. I was like, well, I need to think about some things. But I didn't spend a lot. Sixty one has been an interesting time. I've just really kind of slowed down and kind of think about life and the next decade. And I think decades are a big deal like we're celebrating today. I think it's just important to make sure you want to keep the main thing, the main thing. And I think that's important. You get so distracted in the world we live in and minor things can become main things that all of a sudden you're thinking about things that don't matter and you're captivated on things that are not going to make a difference

1:31.6

in your life and so at 61 I've done some evaluating and the other thing that's been so interesting is I've

1:36.8

just fallen in love with God's word and again I was not saved in church I didn't get saved I was 18

1:43.3

so I was raised in church so I never read God's word I was 19 years old like we had church. I didn't get saved. I was 18. I was raised in church.

1:44.6

So I never read God's word.

1:42.8

I was 19 years old. Like we had a Bible. I didn't know anything about it. It held some obituaries and some flowers. But I never opened it. I didn't know anything about scripture. And so I still love the scripture. I still love reading my Bible. and I'm not a fast reader of the Bible,

1:44.6

so let me help everybody who's not a fast.

2:17.6

It takes me forever to read my Bible. Like, you know, just read it in my lifetime is a win. I'm not, you know, read your Bible in 45 days. Just read a chapter in 45 days. Just do something with reading the scripture. So I get stuck in certain books. I've been stuck in the book of Luke for about a year and a half now. And I love the book. I love all the Gospels. I did not know when I came to church that there were a thing called the Gospels. It's not like you're, you know, when you're lost and you're unaffiliated, you're uninterested, it's not like you wake up and just say, I just need to need to know some scriptural knowledge. I didn't know anything.

2:52.4

So I got in church, and I was so grateful pastors you had for a kind first pastor who helped me when I didn't know anything. This is that kind of church. And so he taught me the God, the first four books of the New Testament. There's an Old Testament, there's a New Testament.

2:53.6

I did not know that.

2:58.2

And the New Testament begins with four accounts of the life of Jesus.

3:00.3

Matthew, Mark, Luke, John.
