We've been known to grow our fair share of annuals here at Epic Gardening, vegetables, fruits, trees,

0:19.1

although I guess trees are perennials.

0:20.5

There's a bread and butter.

0:21.5

They're still edibles and I think I'm a bit of a convert into both

0:25.5

perennial edibles but also just landscaping yeah just scaping that land and making it look better and the

0:31.5

thing that converted me is the evolution of the

0:33.4

epic pond in the backyard which you can actually I've been I know this whole time yeah and

0:37.5

I can't I'm facing away from it so I'm very sad but to me we had Greg Wittsock the pawn

0:42.2

guy both on the show and out recently and he actually gave us a compliment on the pond which to me that's the pinnacle because this guy knows

Not the first time though not the no he trashed the pawn the first time, rightfully so, and then now he said it's a Ferrari in a Ferrari.

0:58.0

The first time he said it's a Ferrari engine in a minivan, meaning that his pond was amazing and the landscaping was bad, and he was right.

pond area looks relative to the rest of the garden and it got me thinking oh yeah why

1:20.4

don't I do more perennial or floral sort of ornamental landscaping

1:24.8

around the edible garden in the backyard like why wouldn't I do that?

1:28.1

Yeah around the chicken coop where there's nothing else happening like why not

1:31.2

options there's so many avenues for that and so I'm kind of

1:34.8

of curious like you've been a little bit more on this train I think than me because you have more

1:38.0

ornamentals just on your property in general. Yeah that's true but what are you doing

1:41.2

around that? So one thing that I really like is I always like having something growing.

1:46.0

So like when we talked about that winter spring transition where you clear everything out,
