We played Monster Hunter Stories' twisted reflection.

Sure did.

And we are here to share our big first impressions of the game.

This is a game that we were both super hyped about when we saw this in the partner showcase.

This was the opener, I believe.

I know this is the only game that I really remembered and was excited for.

So, yeah, I finally got our hands on it, which was so exciting.

Yeah, I think one of the reasons we were excited for this reveal is that we played the series

a little bit, and it always felt like it had a lot of potential to be something bigger than

it was in its original incarnations.

I mean, this is a game that started, a series that started on the 3DS.

And the next one was on the Nintendo Switch, but you always felt like, all right, this is

something that started as a handheld series.

So there was kind of a cap on like the aspirations of like how far they could take

the idea. So I think again, like just knowing like, oh, okay, we're on, you know, current

hardware, we're on the switch too. It feels like there's a lot more they can do here. Yeah, I think that,

you know, the first impressions I had playing Monster Hunter stories is that it's sort of like a spin-off to the main, like the Monster Hunter main line stuff that Capcom does.

We're both really big fans of as well.

And because it was on a handheld, it always kind of felt like a smaller

piece, a smaller side thing for Monster Hunter. But I think this is the first time playing

twisted reflection on Switch 2 is when I felt like, okay, Monster Hunter stories is no longer the side thing.

It is like a proper big main experience.
