If you got a Bible, we're in Philippians. I want to read to you a couple of verses.

We'll pray and then jump in together. I want to read you from Philippians chapter 1,

starting in verse 27. So Philippians chapter 1, we'll read a couple verses.

And if you don't have a copy of the scriptures, don't worry, just listen and we'll pray and then jump in.

So Philippians 1, 27 says this.

Only let your manor of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ.

So that whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear of you that you're standing firm in one spirit,

with one mind striving side by side for the sake of the gospel, and not frightened in anything by your opponents.

It's a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that's from God.

Ford has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him, but also suffer for his sake,

engage in the same conflict that you saw I had, and now hear that I still have. Let me pray for it.

Well, Father, I want to thank you for every person in this room, Lord, whether we knew every word of every song,

and we're so excited to sing them to you, or whether we're really unsure about all this,

and are trying to figure out if we trust you at all, and if you are good.

Wherever we are, I'm just so grateful you've given us this time, and I feel so much hope got about this moment,

the potential of our lives to be very different because of this interaction with your word.

And that's not because of me. I can't create the kind of change that we need, but you can.

And so God, I'm asking you to use your word now to help us see you more clearly, and to help us see ourselves more clearly.
