| 0:11.8 | upon passages at times as we walk system do that we have to |

| 0:17.0 | that we have to admit to ourselves are a bit confusing. |
| 0:21.0 | Things that we don't understand about and the one that I brought up yesterday from |
| 0:25.8 | 1st Peter Chapter 3 is one of those. It's a passage that tells a story or tells about a situation that we don't hear about anywhere else in the scriptures. |

| 0:44.5 | before us in this passage. This is 1st Peter chapter 3 and we've been looking at |
| 0:50.0 | verses 19 and 20. And Peter has revealed to us, kind of like a movie premiere, it's the |
| 0:58.0 | first time we ever hear about it in scripture, that when Jesus died he was made alive in the spirit so naturally he was still alive in his |
| 1:07.6 | spirit and he went and proclaimed something to the spirits in prison. |
| 1:15.0 | And that's the first we ever heard of this concept, |
| 1:18.0 | that there are spirits in prison. |
| 1:20.2 | And he says he went because they formally did not obey when God's patience waited in the days of Noah. |
| 1:28.1 | Now this is verse 20 or 1st Peter 3, while the arc was being prepared. So stop for a moment, make sure you |
| 1:35.1 | understand. Noah, back in the days when the flood was coming on the earth and |
| 1:39.9 | God had revealed to Noah he was going to destroy the world because of the wickedness that existed. |
| 1:46.4 | He commanded Noah to build an arc. |
| 1:48.9 | And so God being patient was allowing Noah time to build the arc. He had waited and waited |
| 1:57.6 | and waited as the wickedness got worse as a demonstration of his patients and it's saying when NOAA was building that arc, |
| 2:05.0 | there were people there who now it's referring to as spirits who are in prison, |
