Today's tip is that we don't always get the perfect resources for jobs we need to do.

Sometimes we can figure out how to get what we need. Other times

though we get what we get. And as the saying goes, we don't get upset. Or at least there is no point in getting upset when there is a job

that needs to be done. So we have probably all faced projects where the resources were less than ideal.

Maybe you are filling in for a colleague who is unexpectedly out

and will have to miss a big client meeting.

But all you have to go on is a vague meeting agenda,

and a meandering voicemail from the colleague that doesn't really shed light on anything.

Maybe you signed up to lead the team preparing food at a community kitchen one night and you were told there would be other volunteers. But when you arrive,

your volunteer team is a brownie troop with lots of enthusiasm, but they are also seven years old.

Time to make dinner for dozens of people.

It would be easy to get upset in these scenarios.
