I'm so grateful you joined us for a guided prayer today.

Today is a community of church home.

We get the incredible honor of practicing communion.

If you're not familiar with communion, it is the simple act of sharing a drink and sharing a bite of food in order to remember

the blood and the body of Jesus that was broken and shed for us on the cross. It's a very beautiful

tradition that has been happening for 2,000 years that the church has been a part of.

And it's really beautiful that we can still participate in this timeless tradition that was

established by Jesus himself on the night before he went to the cross.

So if you can, take a moment, grab a drink, grab a piece of food, and prepare to participate along with us.

There's a verse in 1st Corinthians chapter 10, verses 16 to 17 that declares that when we bless the cup of communion

aren't we sharing in the blood of Jesus and when we break the bread aren't we sharing in the body of

Christ and though we are many people scattered all over we all eat from one loaf showing that we are one body.

This verse declares that wherever you grabbed your drink from,

doesn't matter, that the power comes in blessing the drink.

And in it, we remind ourselves that this drink is a representation

of the blood of Jesus. So right now, will you hold your drink wherever you are as we bless

this drink together? Jesus, we thank you so much for your blood.

We recognize that even though you were sinless and you did nothing wrong, that you willingly

died in order that we could have life and not just abundant life on this planet, but

also eternal life in heaven with you.
