At long last, we're back! In our special series covering the Long War, we bring you the series of interconnected conflicts which waged across Europe between 1679-1699, and included everything from Reunions, to the last siege of Vienna, to the Glorious Revolution, to the War of the League of Augsburg...PHEW! We're in for the long haul with this LONG war, so I hope to have you with me for the very entertaining ride. Since WDF is now officially my job - partly at least - we are here to bring you the best and worst of the era, starting, appropriately enough, with Louis XIV in a France barely removed from the Franco-Dutch War. 0:26.2	That series of interconnected conflicts that waged across Europe between 1679 and 1699,
0:34.7	there is so, obviously, there is so much for us to cover in that.
0:39.0	But hey, before we get right into that, I need to address something that I very recently addressed,
0:44.5	but you may have missed it if you didn't listen to the state of the podcast address.
0:48.0	Basically, to cut a long story short, this podcast is now my job.
0:52.2	Well, it's half my job. I'm working part-time on this and part-time for the
0:55.6	leprosy mission. But yes, when diplomacy fails is partially my job now, and that is absolutely incredible.
1:01.7	To learn more about that, listen to the state of the podcast address, but this means great things for
1:06.3	when diplomacy fails going forward in so many different areas. For one, it means I'll have more time to do
1:12.4	podcasting in general, do research, etc. But it also means that there's a great opportunity to
1:18.5	invest my time and money and resources and energy into getting when dependency fails as big as it can
1:24.5	possibly be, which has always been the aim. And you can help with that
