Welcome back friends, do another waypoint article read.

I'm Rob Zachney and it's been a little while since we've done one of these.

But today I'm bringing you Patrick Kleppich and his piece on a leading Counter-Strike personality, Duncan Thorin Shields,

who recently revealed that he's a huge fan of Alex Jones.

That's the impetus for Patrick's piece, but more than that Patrick is looking at shields from an outsider's perspective

and trying to parse how Thorin has remained such a major figure in these sports,

despite a long track record of provocative behavior and racist jokes.

Anyway, here's Patrick with one of Counter-Strike's leading analysts,

who wants you to know Alex Jones' rules.

and Patrick's own history as a college edgelord.

With that said, I don't closely follow the competitive scene for any one game,

instead relying on the expertise of others to guide me through this rapidly changing world.
