I'm Jonathan Lemire, joining you live from Chicago, host of the DNC.

And we'll begin indeed with the third night of the Democratic National Convention,

which featured another packed lineup of speakers.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walls was the main event, and he finished off the evening by accepting

his party's nomination for vice president. We also heard last night from former President

Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Nancy Pelosi, and many others. Parts the night were sectioned to themes like

immigration, with remarks by a Texas border county sheriff who has criticized Donald Trump on the issue.

The January 6th Capitol attack was also a focal point with a series of speeches by some of the people

most affected on that day.
