weekend's developing news out of Russia, where the head of the mercenary Wagner Group

launched the most direct challenge to Vladimir Putin's grip on power in his 19 years as president.

It started on Friday when Yvgeny Progosen, the leader of that private army, posted a video to social media.

In it, Progosion suggests that Russia's invasion of Ukraine was launched under false pretences

before accusing Russian military leaders of bombing his own soldiers, fellow Russians.
