Lemire. Let's start with the news. Ukraine is bracing for a renewed of Russian offensive as

Moscow's forces shift their focus to the east while withdrawing from the country's north.

The Pentagon says around 24,000

Russian troops have left areas around the capital of Kiev and the northern city of Cherneve in the last

24 hours. It warns that these troops have gone into Belarus or Russia to resupply, reorganize,

and likely will return to fight in the Donbos region in eastern Ukraine.

That's where Russian forces have already stepped up their attacks, carrying out several

missile strikes yesterday. At least five people were killed when Russian shelling hit a five-story

building in Luhansk. Local officials say four others were killed in a separate attack, a Danex.

Meanwhile, heavy fighting continued in Kharkiv in the northeast, where Russian forces tried to

break through and link up with their troops that have been stationed around Mariupil.

Four civilians were killed in that attack.
