And why is the U.S. now negotiating directly and for the first time ever with Hamas?

Well, when it comes to the negotiations that you're referring to, first of all, the special envoy who's engaged in those negotiations

does have the authority to talk to anyone. Israel was consulted

on this matter. And look, dialogue and talking to people around the world to do what's in the

best interest of the American people is something that the president has proven is what he believes

is good faith effort to do what's right for the American people.

That was White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt being pressed yesterday on what seems to be a major shift in U.S. policy.

The question is, has the policy changed when it comes to negotiating with terrorists?

Meanwhile, President Trump is already backtracking on some of the tariffs for Canada and

Mexico, giving U.S. automakers who import cars through those countries a one-month break.

The question is, will Trump blink again on the trade war in just a matter of weeks?

But it comes as his administration is set to lay off thousands of Veterans Affairs employees.

And the question is, will the backlash be enough to make the administration abandon those cuts?
