The automakers are going to make a lot of money, the American automakers or international

automakers, if you're talking about they're going to build in the United States.

The people that are going to make money are people that manufacture cars in the United States.

Outside of the United States, that's going to be up to them. I don't care too much

about that. That was President Trump speaking to reporters last night on Air Force One about his

tariffs on all imported vehicles and foreign-made auto parts. That's set to take effect this week.

The question is, how will the president and his administration sell those higher prices that come with the tariffs to consumers?

Plus, the president's not ruling out a possible third presidential term, despite a constitutional amendment that says he can't do that.

The question is, is Trump just trolling everyone?

Or is he serious?

He said he's not joking.

Also ahead, Elon Musk is once again spending millions of dollars on an election. This time, it's won in Wisconsin. The

question is, why is he so interested in that state's Supreme Court race? It's way too early, the show that didn't think we'd be talking about a swing state so soon, but it kind of warms my heart that we are.

This morning Wall Street is bracing for the launch of Trump's tariffs plan on Wednesday.

And ahead of that, Trump is now saying he couldn't care less if automakers raised prices following his pledge to impose 25% tariffs on foreign-made cars and auto parts.

Speaking to NBC's Meet the Press moderator, Kristen Welker, Trump said, quote, I couldn't care less. I hope they raise their prices because if they do, people are going to buy American-made cars. We have plenty. When asked whether he warned top auto leaders against raising prices, Trump said, quote, the message is, congratulations. If you make your car in the United States,

you're going to make a lot of money. If you don't, you're going to have to probably come to the

United States because if you make your car in the United States, there is no tariff.

After the interview, a Trump aide followed up with NBC News to clarify,

Trump was specifically talking about the price of foreign-made cars, not American-made cars.
