autocracy is ultimately no match for the flame of liberty

that lights the souls of free people everywhere.

It capped a highly scripted and choreographed trip to Europe, where he called for unity

against Russia and reassured allies.

But one memorable part of the trip was certainly the moment that was unscripted. Good morning and welcome to way too

early on this Monday, March 28th. I'm Jonathan Lemire, and we'll start with the news. President

Biden's visit to Poland was a historic

bookend to his four-day trip to Europe. He began by meeting with troops from the Army's

82nd Airborne Division stationed near Poland's border with Ukraine to help bolster NATO's eastern

flank. He took selfies and shared stories over pizza. The president also met with Ukrainians

at a Warsaw Stadium, which has been converted

into a refugee center. More than two million Ukrainians have fled to Poland over the past

month. The president tweeted, quote, you don't need to speak the same language to feel the

roller coaster of emotions in their eyes. During a meeting with the Polish president,

Biden said this, I'm confident that Vladimir Putin was counting on dividing NATO, but he hasn't

been able to do it. We've all stayed together. And Biden capped off his trip with a forceful speech
