We're seeing images there of Sergei Lavrov, Russia's foreign minister, talking at the same time as his Ukrainian counterpart.

These are the first high-level talks between Russia and Ukraine since the conflict began two weeks ago.

They are in Istanbul, and we're going to be keeping an eye on that.

And these negotiations come amid more scenes of devastation in Ukraine, particularly after

Russia attacked a maternity hospital. Images of pregnant women being carried out on stretchers,

flying debris, a crater some 30 feet deep, utter devastation all around. Ukraine's president,

again, urging world leaders to help enforce a no-fly zone.

Plus, new concerns that Russia could be laying the groundwork to use biological or chemical weapons.

We've got a lot of

breaking news that we'll be following this hour. Horror has gripped the besieged Ukrainian city

of Maripole as a Russian air strike hit a maternity hospital, drawing international condemnation

that civilians are still being targeted. At least three people were killed and 17 injured

when a series of blasts rocked the hospital

complex yesterday, shattering windows and ripping away part of the building.

Rescue workers rushed to the scene to evacuate victims, carrying a pregnant woman out on

a stretcher.

The attack also caused this massive crater outside the hospital at least two stories deep.

President Zelensky of Ukraine condemned the strike, calling it an atrocity, adding, quote,

a children's hospital, a maternity hospital.
