Thanks for starting your day with us. The Senate has passed a stopgap bill to fund the government

through next Friday. It's headed now to the president's desk to be signed. It averts a government

shutdown for now and allows appropriators time to finish crafting the omnibus government funding

bill. That omnibus bill would fund the government through September 2023. The Senate will

return to Washington next week to finish crafting its details. On Tuesday, lawmakers announced a

framework agreement, which they believe will allow negotiations to be completed in that time.

The top Republican on the Senate Appropriations Committee has said both parties agree on defense spending, but remain divided on the overall budget.

Other news this morning's breaking news, according to Ukrainian officials, Russia has fired more than 60 missiles into Ukraine at its latest round of strikes.

These attacks targeted civilian infrastructure in cities across the country, including the capital of Kiev and Kharkiv.

These strikes come as Russia is warning of possible consequences if the United
