At stake, the balance of power in Washington and in states that could determine the outcome of future elections.

The Biden agenda is also on the line, and as Democrats have been reminding us, so is democracy

itself.

Polls in some states will open in about an hour. Here's

the lay of the land. First, the House. Democrats currently have a 220 to 122 advantage with three

vacancies, two on the left and one on the right. Republicans need a net gain of five seats, just five seats, to take control
