Lemire. Thanks for starting your day and week with us. We'll begin with the January 6th Committee

subpoena to former President Donald Trump.

The panel issued it on Friday, demanding that he turned over a number of documents related

to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election by November 4th. The committee also wants any communications

he had with extremist groups who were involved in the capital attack.

Lawmakers ordered Trump to testify under oath on November 14th, either in person at the

Capitol or by video conference. In a letter with the subpoena, the committee laid out several

allegations against the former president.

Among them, the panel says he purposely and maliciously disseminated false allegations of

fraud related to the 2020 election. Illegally pressured state officials to change election

results, pressured his own vice president to refuse to count electoral votes on

January 6th, summoned thousands of angry and armed supporters to Washington, D.C. that day,
