Today we are nerding out about an adaptation, a comic, a series of characters, one of the most revered pop culture IPs out there that also a bunch of people don't know about.

Weirdly, it's a weird place in pop culture that Watchman occupies but it made for a fascinating

season of television inspired Rebecca to go read the original run inspired us to think a lot about it so that's what we're going to do today

we're going to break down talk about what we liked what made it so interesting what

intrigued us maybe even a little what annoyed us if there are things like that about HBO's nine episode and I

guess we'll get into this what to call this I think the appropriate word is

sequel to the watchman comic of which there was a movie adaptation though

this series picks up the comic rather than the movie which made one notable

change which maybe we'll talk about here in a minute. But a really turns out to be a

sequel and we both were really impressed by the pilot when we talked about the

previews in the fall. No, shut up Siri. I just my phone just decided to start talking me talking about a dystopian future and we decided

we'd want to talk about the whole series and Rebecca agreed to do this before she

was done because she was done,

because she was enough on the hook.

And I guess, before we get into general impressions,

was it worth it in the end?

We haven't really talked about the whole series together.

about the first episode when we did our gathering of Watchman Emily Dickinson and the first

episode of his dark materials back in the fall and I realized after the first episode like I need to read the source material.
