Let's begin tonight's journey with Yvonne, and her experience is called The Hague and the Hatman.

A little backstory before I begin.

My husband and I bought our first house in August or September of 1984.

We were expecting our first child, and his aunt, I'll call her V, had passed away from

cancer a couple of months earlier, so we had purchased her house.

It was nothing fancy, just a cute little one-story house in the country.

Well, V made her presence known quite early,

as she would turn lights on, and every morning I could smell coffee brewing,

and I could hear country music playing.

This went on for years, and she was a very sweet lady.

As the years passed, our family grew, and we had two children, Emily and Chris.

We realized our house was too small for us, and my husband's father had gifted us some land

just up the road from where we were, so we decided to build our house there.

We built a nice one-story three-bedroom house with a carport. The bedrooms were on one

side of the house, and there was a large living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry and mudroom.

The kids were still small, and by now it was the early 90s, but they were old enough to enjoy
