Hello, everyone, and well, I wish I could say this is a podcast, but it's not.

You see, we've got a story for you.

And it was only a handful of episodes ago when listeners learned the story of Bobby Baker. And do you remember that episode when the very day the world stood still,

mourning the assassination of President Kennedy? And another story was unfolding in the shadows of

Washington, D.C. It was a story so explosive explosive it could have stopped Lyndon Johnson from ever becoming president.

You might remember that in a closed-door Senate hearing, a lone whistleblower and insurance salesman

named Don Reynolds was giving testimony that implicated the vice president himself.

Testimony that touches upon a web of kickbacks, bribes, and political corruption.

The allegations were severe enough to potentially lead to the impeachment, the removal from office,

and even prison time for LBJ.

But then, shots rang out in Dallas.

In the chaos, it followed, that bombshell testimony vanished.

The whistleblower Don Reynolds faced death threats and was forced to flee the country,

living in exile for four years, haunted by what he knew.

With LBJ now having weaponized the federal machinery to give him,

including the IRS and the FBI. His story was buried. Bob Nelson, the nephew of Don Reynolds,
