This is the one where we dive into the conspiracy theories around the Jonestown

massacre rather than the Jonestown massacre itself, which I'm hoping will be like somewhat

less brutal than the Jonestown one because that is some horrible shit that went down that I try not to think about because it is just misery

All right, let's get into it. This isn't going to be an easy one, so let's just dive straight in.

The Jones Hill Massacre took place on November the 18th, 1978, the last act in a tragedy which

involved the People's Temple cult headed by its charismatic and controversial

leader Jim Jones.

Until the September 11, 2001 terror attacks, it was the largest loss of life amongst American

civilians in a single event.

It was a catastrophic happening, one which the general public could not and still do not comprehend.

Early confusing reports about the massacre led the public to believe that more than 900 people had willingly committed suicide at the orders of their religious leader.
