At the end of his victim impact statement, Phil Markell, of course, the father of Dan Markell, the FSU law professor, gunned down in his Tallahassee driveway in 2014.

Well, he turned to Donna Adelson and her family in the courtroom and asked one simple but devastating question.

And anybody who's been watching us since August 19th knows that we have dug deep into the murder of Dan Markell following most recently the murder trial of Don Adelson, who was convicted like her son on September 4th of first-degree murder, along with conspiracy and another charge.

And she is going to be spending the rest of her natural life behind bars for the murder of Danny Markell and the person

who knew him obviously best in the entire world joins us now.

Phil, welcome to the show.

I've said this to a lot of people.

I lost my father two plus years ago, almost going on three years,

and I kind of look up to Phil as a father figure, and it's nothing good about murder ever.

But if there's any silver lining, it's brought Phil and I together and the Markell family,

who are just everything that is opposite of the Aedlesons.

They are grace personified.

So, Phil, I know you are not the most eager to ever get in front of a camera.

You like to be a behind the scenes kind of guy.

And I respect that.

I should probably start following suit there and

doing the same thing but you had to sit through yet another trial I mean it's hard to believe
