magic wand that I could use on people and it would require them to appear on this very

podcast one of the people that I would use that wand and of course I would do

Donald Trump but I think the next person would be Dick Cheney now Now we know that's not possible because

Dick Cheney is not going to come on a Vanity Fair podcast and I know that I couldn't

get the next best thing which was George W Bush so I went to the third best thing which is

is Adam McKay, the incredible Oscar-winning writer and director of the new movie

Vice. So I can guarantee that you've seen something that McKay has produced, written or directed over the last decade plus.

He was the head writer on SNL for many years.

He's behind movies and TV shows like Ant-Man, The Other Guys, Succession, Drunk History,

Anchor Man, and the groundbreaking Big Short, and of course his latest film on Cheney,

George W Bush,

and the rest of that crazy gang.

So McKay is going to come on the show

and argue why that movie actually leads us to Donald Trump

and we're going to cover a lot of stuff in the next hour including

his critics climate change inequality why the Democrats can sometimes be as bad

or almost as bad as the Republicans. McKay's road himself from improv theater to big budget movies and about all the

villainous politicians and Wall Street bankers that he's been writing about for
