I am, dude, I'm thrilled to have you here.

My guest today is Warren Zayn's, and you might, through various prisms, have interacted

with Warren's work.

He was in a band that's, I'm 57 years old, so he was in a band that mattered to guys

like me.

The Delphway goes, not the Del Lords, or the Delphonics, he wasn't in the Delphonics either.

And it was a real drag.

I am sure.

I've always wanted to ask guys in those bands what a drag that was, but he, and I'm someone

who's, I have albums by all those bands, and I have always had them.

I saw you in concert, though, and not the neither of the other two bands, but you might

know Warren, but Warren is also a professor.

He is an incredible writer.

Warren, you wrote, you know, your Tom Petty biography is one of the few books in my adult

life that I first encountered in my adult life and have read three times.

And I read it with my eyes, and then I read it a second time, and then in pandemic, I

started bicycling, and I listened to it bicycling around, because it's a lot, it's great

too, because it's really long.

And it was like an incredible, it really kept me company, and as a creative person, super

inspiring book.
