| 0:23.0 | The best advice I ever got for trail running was don't be afraid to experiment. |
| 0:29.2 | Sometimes we get so bogged down into what everyone else is doing and we want to do the same thing. |
| 0:35.2 | But there's a lot of options out there and this applies to clothing or food. |
| 0:40.2 | You know, you might want to wear a tag, you might want to wear cotton, you might want to eat real food or eat gels. |

| 1:15.2 | It was a big experiment, but I tried for the very first time, my first time wearing hookahs was the last 50 miles of one of my hundred mile races. |
| 1:25.2 | And just my, I thought, well, you know, my feet aren't feeling so good. |
| 1:29.2 | Maybe I'll try these brand new pair of hookahs that I've never worn before in my life. |
| 1:33.2 | And I'd always kind of had a background and minimalist running. |
| 1:36.2 | So kind of very completely different from anything I've tried. |
| 1:39.2 | And it ended up working so well. |
| 1:42.2 | So again, you know, maybe not on race day, but in general training, you feel free to share that goes against one of our cardinal rules of trail running, which is never never try something new on race day. |
