You may not know his name, but you probably know his work.

For the past three years, as the showrunner,

exec producer, and head writer for Law and Order

SPU. Before that, as the general in charge of law and order

criminal intent. Also the great but short-lived series lights out about a heavyweight champ down in his luck

it was one more try and before that is where it gets really interesting before

that as the Tony award-winning playwright of the very personal memory play Sideman, which is on the surface

about as far away from the law and order procedurals as you can get. He's also

written and directed feature films.

What's going to be fun about this is that Warren doesn't know we played a big role in my own moment.

That is, in my becoming a screenwriter and director, I can't wait to tell him how and why.
