You know, when you're comfortable with something, when you have a routine, when you have something that's very normal in your everyday life, and that gets upended. It's unnerving and

unsettling for any of us. Sometimes it could be something very simple, like walking across the room

is not painful, but perhaps when you're out doing some gardening or you twist your ankle,

and now it's sore, and you sit on the couch for a little while, and you watch TV, and you get up to go to the kitchen or something, oh, my ankle hurts. You're like, doggone it,

I forgot. And it's unsettling, it's unnerving, it's something that you're not accustomed to. Those are

just sort of facts of life. They're things that happen for all of us. But there are other things in

what we pursue, whether it be with our families or our

faith or our careers, that we work very hard on over long periods of time to become pretty good at

and find a normal, a routine, something that is certainly not unsettling, but can be unsettling when it is taken away.

For me, this war in Ukraine has done that. And it's not just the humanity, not just the killing and the

senselessness of war and all these other ridiculous things about Vladimir Putin in his evil ways.

It's not that.

For me, what has been, in addition to what everybody else is feeling along those lines,

what's been different for me is all the blurred lines that I see every day in coverage

of this conflict.

I've spent, as you know, 37 years in the media, and I believe over that time,

consuming so much media, being in the media, understanding how people think and work around me,

especially people with different ideas, attitudes, views of the world, agendas.

I think you sort of work yourself into a routine of understanding when you're consuming media, news, sports, weather, whatever it may be.

I think I got a very good feel for what is real and what is complete and total BS. I remember a phase about
