It's laid out chronologically with a ton of study notes and charts and graphs and it's a beautiful way to really bring the text to life and study God's word and so we're going to jump in. Today's verse from New Morning Mercies is

Luke 15. It's 11 through 32 which is the parable of the lost son but I'm going to

hone in on verse 20 that says this.

So he returned home to his father, and while he was still a long way off,

his father saw him coming, filled with love and compassion he ran to his

son, embraced him, and kissed him. The study text from that says this.

In this story, the father watched and waited. He was dealing with a
