Michael Bowling, and I am joined by my co-host, producer, and good friend Tom Bell. Tom, how are you

today? Hey, Michael. I am well. Yourself? I am doing well. Yeah. So, yep, just enjoying the rain yeah it hasn't hit here yet but it

i'm sure it will oh yeah it's been probably off and on all day as soon as we're done recording and i go to

grab dinner oh well for me yeah the minute i step out of the house after it hasn't rained for a while it just

pours down.

If you've ever heard the whistle of a steam train at Disneyland or taking that grand circle tour around the park, you've experienced something that wasn't just an attraction.

It was a lifelong passion.

For Walt Disney, trains were more than transportation. They were

inspiration. They represented motion, storytelling, innovation, and even comfort during some of the

most challenging times in his life. From a young boy selling newspapers on the railroad to building

the Carrollwood Pacific Railroad in his own

backyard to placing a train at the very heart of Disneyland. The trains were always part of Walt's

journey. Today we're joined by historian and author Michael Campbell, whose new book Walt Disney's

Trains, a grand circle tour through his life and legacy,

explores this fascinating thread in Walt's story, one that quite literally comes full circle.

Michael also curated the original exhibition at the Walt Disney Family Museum that inspired the book.
