Today we have with us a YouTuber I've been following for years now, who I took some advice from.

He's going to share with us some of his backpacking experience and some information about a pretty

interesting hike he has coming up.

Who is it I'm talking about here? Today I'd like to welcome to the Papa Bear Hikes podcast, a fellow backpacker who has many miles under his feet.

He's hiked to Sierras.

And as I said, he has a darn interesting hike coming up and puts out, as I said, one of my favorite YouTube puts out some great YouTube videos.

And Doug, as I said, I've been following your YouTube's for a number of years.

And here's where it started.

A few years back, I'll give you a little

background on how I came across to. I was going out to the West Coast for a backpacking trip,

and I'd never flown my backpacking gear to a destination before. My other trips, I'd either

by car, bus, train, everything was pretty much here out east, but here was an opportunity. I was hiking

the Tahoe Rim Trail and just starting off with common sense. I know there's things I can't carry

on with me, but how do I get my important gear out there to things I need? And you did a YouTube

on traveling with your gear, how to pack for, I can't remember the exact title of it. And I came across

it today while I was going through some of your older videos and said, yeah, I watched that a few

years ago. That's right. Yeah, when I was trying to figure out how to get out there. And I just got to

say, yeah, I'd subscribe and I said, you know, you do, I just want to say this, you do a really good job of putting the

information out there in a way that we can all just, you know, listen to it. It doesn't, some of these
