Hello everyone, Kirk Hamilton here to introduce another strong song's recast.

This one is an episode I first published in 2020, focusing on the great Annie Lennox and

her hit 1992 single Walking on Broken Glass.

This song has always seemed kind of like a quintessential strong song to me in some ways

that are hard to define, but some that kind of makes sense.

It's a pop song that most people have heard, it's really famous, but it was created

with more craft and care than some people who have heard it might have realized.

I had a lot of fun picking it apart, and I still kind of want to do a bonus episode

sometime about Lennox's song Little Bird because that song is super good as you will

be reminded if you listen to this episode.

Alright, I won't go on too long up here at the top.

I do want to note that since this episode is from a few years ago, you'll hear me

reference some outdated email addresses and stuff like that in the episode, so just keep

that in mind, and of course, fortunately, this song remains as timeless as ever.
