For the last little while, I've been busy working, building a house out in the middle

of nowhere in southern Utah, sort of as a refuge or a hideout.

I've been doing most of the work myself, and it's been going a lot slower than I thought, of course.

But that's not really what I want to talk about.

I'm working on a story about that area where I'm building the house,

which is like the home base for independent audio producers around the world.

But in the meantime, I really feel like I need to say things, something about the state

terrified about what's happening both with the Trump administration and with

what's happening in Gaza.

It's just beyond what I could ever imagine. When I read the news, I just can't believe what's happening.

It's horrifying.

And I feel like people in this country don't know about it.

They've chosen not to follow the news.

And the news really hasn't been very good.

The media hasn't really been very responsible covering it.
