And all I can say today is wow.

I've just had the most amazing conversation.

This is a goodie.

This is a real goodie.

This is why we're in it, folks.

This is the point of all this.

And funnily enough, it's one of the least uncomfortable conversations I've had in a long time,

but it touches on things

that are deeply uncomfortable and strange and weird, like whether or not human beings will

extinguish ourselves off the face of the planet, or whether we're alone in the cosmos, or why

you procrastinate as much as you do, or how fleetingly, blindingly close and precious and recent

the evolution of civilization

is in the course of human history. I mean, I don't want to say too much about Tim Urban.

If you've ever seen the blog, Wait But Why, then you know this guy. He writes, he does

these sorts of cartoon stick figure explanations of some of the most important things in the world. Wait,

but why. The subtitle of the blog is, new post every sometimes. And he has whimsical, funny,

mind-expanding explanations or explorations of some of the deepest questions that humankind faces.

And he's this, I mean, he really should be a philosopher or a philosopher king.

But he's a blogger and a TED talker.
